Mahendra Highway

The world-famous 1024 km long Mahendra Highway leads straight through Nepal, along primeval forests, mountain deserts, through tropical regions and past the icy mountain tops of the Himalayas. Natural wonders, cultural sites, pilgrimage sites, vibrant bazars, and Buddhist and Hindu holy sites can all be found next to each other. Director Andre Hörmann takes us on a fascinating journey along the ancient trade route from East to West.
