The Lure of the Affair

According to polls, almost half of all Germans, who are in a serious relationship, have an affair at one point or another. And even though most women and men consider infidelity to be a break-up reason, many are clearly still willing to take the risk of having an affair. 

Michael, a 50-year-old from Hamburg, kept his affair secret from his wife, because he thinks it has nothing to do with his marriage, doesn’t affect it and doesn’t take anything away from it. Mina (39) and Arndt (50) live with their two kids (15 and 6 years old) in Vienna. Their relationship has become rather turbulent, ever since Mina told her partner about having an affair. Christiane (53) from Wiesbaden used to live the perfect life with her husband and her two children – until she had an affair with a married man that turned her life upside down. Women and men, who either have an affair or suffer from their partners’ infidelities, talk about love and sorrow and how they each deal with it.
